....Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm not a man of wealth and taste......
I can hardly handle my notebook, they trew me out after 9 years of public school. But I'm not as dumb as I might look (...or am I?)Anyway, what does PP mean to me? (well, a lot...) Back in the Sixties, Switzerland really was a bad place for popmusic-lovers, repression everywhere.. (jungle music, apes and so on). No appearances on TV, the only place to see your heros was german "Beat Club". This was a great thing for us, all the big names appeared, even Jimi Hendrix or the Who? beneath them, P.P.Arnold, unnoticed, just a part of it all.Never heard something of "Ikettes" or Ike&Tina Turner, common uniformed swiss boy "First Lady" I guess, was unavailable here? Around 1968, I found an obscure looking LP called "Kafunta": this proved, even in Switzerland, things kept going, they began to offer such elusive items.Well,I liked the cover&songs and by luck,I bought it,happy me.And guess what:it was one of my best investment so far! Both strong and melancholic, still appealing to this evening of the day......
Hope, she had a great day,Yesterday. Love and affection
from an old fan who is now running out of space................

Hello Harry! Thanks for the feedback. Yes, in early 1990 I grabbed in our local warehouse the green Collection with 23 Tracks. Original-price CHF 29, reduced to 19, reduced again to 5 Francs only. Unbelievable! Pearls before swine! Well, since then,I treasure it, because my old&scratchy LP was already gone (loaned out and never came back).
Anyway, thanks for your kind offer;if You mail Your address, You'll get my homemade "Pop Classics" if you like Sixties (I'm sure,You do...) it opens, of course, with a PP-Track. Try it!
This offer is also valid for some other PP-fans, up to 10 CD's will be spent, not more, because I don't want to ruin my burner.
First come, first serve!
oh, what a riot is going on,mails coming in by the dozens

Post edited by: Martin, at: Oct. 13th 2007 - 06:09 PM
